I was wondering if I was supposed to adjust my static FP with the screw on top of my JR FMU or with my AEM FPR. (static FP doesn't seem to move when I fiddle with the FPR with the vacuum hose disconnected from the FMU).

And... if i'm supposed to use the FMU... what's the FPR for?

    Thanks.

You should be ale to adjust with just the JR FMU. At 6 psi with stock injectors, I wouldn't think there would be any real need for adjustability at the fuel rail (your AEM).

Hahaha.. and this is after I went through all the trouble of selling my comptech bar and buying a spoon one so that it would clear the FPR.

So there's NO advantage to having the AEM FPR? It seems to be able to adjust the idle FP regardless of the static FP?

The main advantage of the AEM fpr is to be able to lower the idle fp's to stock pressures since the high flow fuel pumps just overwhelms the stock fpr. It also comes in handy when you have to lower the idle fp's below stock spec when using larger cc injectors.

I wasn't being critical of the AEM, having the additional adjustability is a plus. I just have not seen the need at 6 PSI for adjustment to static FP beyond what the JR FMU is capable. At higher boost the increased adjustability is more of a benefit or requirement, particularly if you end up with larger injectors, adjustable FMU, etc.

Okay... so my static FP should be around 58. What should my idle FP be?

    Thanks.

    Ahh... THANKS!

Idle FP is at 50 right now.. guess i'll lower that too.

No wonder my mileage hasn't been all that great.

So i've lowered my static FP from around 70 to 58, and my idle fp from around 52 to 40.

Feels like I'm making more top-end power. Is this possible or is it just psychological?
